The Growth Collective Pilot in Review

When we launched the first round of the Growth Collective, I hoped it would be useful. What I didn’t expect was how much it would teach me, too. We had hopes and big ideas - but just as much curiosity. We wanted to see what would work, what needed refining, and where we could grow. Now that the pilot round is complete, it’s time to reflect, celebrate the wins, and carry the lessons forward.

Alignment is everything

It became clear early on how important genuine alignment is. Some participants were truly excited to be there. A few had been encouraged by their companies, and while their intentions were good, the engagement just wasn’t the same.

Next time: I’ll meet with each participant before they sign up, to make sure they understand what this is - and what it isn’t.

Connection before content

One piece of feedback really stuck with me: “I wish we’d had a chance to meet casually before it started.” When you’re in it with people, it changes everything. Trust grows. You open up more. You listen more deeply.

Next time: We'll kick off with a relaxed pre-meet so everyone feels comfortable from day one.

1:1 coaching adds depth

The group sessions were powerful - but it was clear that many wanted a bit more focus. Sometimes the group setting can feel too broad when you’re facing a specific challenge.

Next time: We’ll build in private 1:1 coaching. That space for personalised guidance really helps you apply the work to your own world.

Tangible tools made it real

Participants loved the tools, worksheets, and visuals. They made the learning feel real and practical — not just theory.

Next time: We’ll include more practical resources to support reflection and action.

A community space with staying power

Our private community platform became a place to ask questions, share wins, and keep momentum between sessions.

Next time: We'll make it even more interactive. Because support shouldn’t stop when the programme does.

Everyone engages differently - and that’s okay

Some were vocal, others more reflective. At first, I worried that the quieter ones weren’t getting as much — but I’ve learned that engagement doesn’t need to look the same for everyone.

Next time: We’ll offer different ways to show up, contribute, and take what you need.

Pricing is about more than money

The pilot was intentionally priced low. That felt right while we were testing and learning. But the value - in time, focus, and growth - was clear.

Next time: We’ll adjust the pricing to reflect the real investment this work deserves.

Onboarding that builds self-awareness

The strengths and values tools helped participants see themselves more clearly. That self-awareness set the tone for honest, focused coaching.

Next time: We’ll keep those in - because meaningful change starts with knowing yourself.

Space to be more than your job title

One of the most powerful shifts was seeing participants step out of their roles and into themselves. Just being human. That space - outside the day-to-day - changed everything.

Next time: We’ll make more room for personal reflection and connection beyond leadership. Because that’s where the magic happens.

Looking back, I’m deeply grateful - for the bold, brilliant people who joined us, and for the ever-brilliant Michelle Moreno, who helped bring this idea to life.

There were surprises. A few bumps. A lot of growth.

And now, with everything we’ve learned - we get to do it again..
